Medical Provider

We are looking for an enthusiastic medical provider to join our expanding team! If you like rapid growth and working to improve patient's quality of life, then you’ll enjoy your career with us! We have locations in both Roanoke and Christiansburg, VA.
Position Summary:
As a Medical Provider at Balance Wellspace, you will be expected to bring about the retention of long-term quality patients for the company through the execution of service delivery systems, so the patients’ needs, and expectations are met or exceeded. You will be needed to assess, advise, and treat patients in accordance with our services offered in the clinic.
This position requires someone who will be compassionate, caring, optimistic, self-motivated and gets excited about a challenge. You have a willingness to learn, are confident in clinical skills, have excellent communication skills, are flexible, and ultimately are willing to put the time and effort in to learning our systems and procedures. You must be a team player who has a genuine interest in helping others along with an interest in changing the conversation with patients, the public and other providers about how we provide healthcare in the U.S.
As the clinic Medical Provider, you will be responsible for looking at the body as a whole and assisting in the creation of treatment plans for our patients to receive the most comprehensive care. You will be an essential piece of the integrated clinic and will work in tandem to collaborate with professionals to result in the most effective treatment plans and clinical outcomes.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
  • Evaluate new patients to determine if and which services they could benefit from
  • Monitor patients for improvements and setbacks so as to modify services to help clients meet or exceed expectations
  • Monitor patients for compliance and effectively communicate the need to follow recommendations
  • Effectively and continually educate patients about the need for, and progress through, the care plan
  • Complete and document medical exam and orthopedic medical exam
  • Supervise and administer injections (trigger point, joint, etc.)
  • Recognize and acknowledge when patients improve and reach goals
  • Assist in the recruitment of new patients through internal and external lead generating activities
  • Engage in effective communication with clinical as well as administrative staff to ensure seamless flow of production to allow for increased growth of company’s services delivered to meet the strategic objective of the company
  • Oversee management of Medical Assistant(s)
  • Properly complete paperwork on each patient encounter and keep notes current by the end of each shift to company standards
  • Ensure all patient care is focused on an upstream medical philosophy (prevention and function based) instead of a downstream one (symptom based)
  • Will follow all protocols written, including, no prescribing class II narcotics or no prescribing antidepressants to our patients. (Will refer these patients to their primary care physician or specialist for said services if needed)
CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Experience with trigger point injections, large and small joint injections, starting IV’s, and use of Ultrasound guidance is preferred

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Valid MD, DO, NP, or PA-C license required
  • Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance
  • 2 years’ experience minimum working as a Medical Provider required
  • 1 year experience in a private practice preferred
  • Experience injecting joints preferred

Associate Chiropractor

Position Summary:
As the clinic’s Chiropractor, you will be responsible for bringing about the retention of long-term quality patients for the clinic through the execution of service delivery systems, so the patient’s needs and expectations of care are met or exceeded. In this position, we require someone who will be compassionate, caring, optimistic, self-motivated and gets excited about a challenge. As a Chiropractor in our clinic, we desire for you to have a passion for helping others see their full potential and to motivate/assist them to reach their true goals. You will be an essential piece of the integrated clinic and will work in tandem to collaborate with the medical personnel to result in the most effective treatment plans and clinical outcomes. It is necessary for you to be knowledgeable in regards to diseases, rehabilitation, and other medical conditions.

Performance Objectives:
Develops emotional connection with patients to understand their expected goals and desired outcomes
Educates the patient on the services provided in the clinic
Evaluates new patients to determine if and which chiropractic/rehab services they could benefit from
Reviews x-rays and makes recommendations in the daily team meeting
Delivers Report of Findings

Education & Experience:
4-year bachelor’s degree from accredited college
A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college
Valid DC license in applicable state

2+ years working in a private practice preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be in good physical condition and have the dexterity and strength to perform adjustments and manipulations on patients
